History on the backroads

Sideways Falls is a beautiful waterfall along the Icefield Parkway heading towards Jasper, you can see this beauty at a pull out at the Big Bend or you can be like myself and find a faint trail along the Old Wonder trail and bushwack your way to this magnificent viewpoint, inexperienced hikers be warned this is bear county and good hiking skills is necessary   

If you like Waterfalls and One room schoolhouses, Grain Elevators and Old Churches this should be a good place to come, i will be posting daily on my travels throughout North America, mainly in Western Canada, i hope you will enjoy and follow along.  My first ever post will be of a Schoolhouse in Alberta near the Saskatchewan border, this is Vernon School and this school alone made me realize how much history we have in Western Canada i have been hooked ever since and i hope you as well will see the history and the beauty in these old one room schoolhouses
